Who Cheated on Who? Taylor Swift or Joe Alwyn?

You know when ‘The Tortured Poets Department album first came out everyone was so sure that Joe Alwyn had cheated on Taylor Swift.

The tea is, now there’s a new theory floating around! Word on the street is Taylor actually cheated on Joe with Matty Healy during their six-year relationship, reports.

Right before the split, Swift dropped the ‘Midnights’ album. One track, ‘Bejeweled’, got fans suspicious.

Swifties are dissecting the lyrics, especially the chorus: “Best believe I’m still bejeweled/ When I walk in the room/ I can still make the whole place shimmer/ And when I meet the band/ They ask, ‘Do you have a man?’/ I could still say, ‘I don’t remember'”.

The plot thickens because ‘The 1975’ band merch had ‘The Band’ in caps, and fans connected the dots.

First of all, let’s address the initial shock that Joe Alwyn may have been the one wronged in this situation.

When ‘The Tortured Poets Department album was released, fans immediately pointed fingers at Joe as the one who did Taylor dirty.

However, with this new theory surfacing, the tables have turned and now all eyes are on Taylor Swift herself.

Let’s dive deep into these theories and break down the cheating lyrics from both songs!

Oh and just a quick heads up, no one has actually confirmed this, so we’re all just going off of the clues we have.

So, any conclusions you make should be taken with a pinch of salt, ya know?

Joe and Taylor

How the rumors about cheating started

The rumors of cheating started swirling after Taylor’s performance in Melbourne, Australia, during her Eras Tour.

She sang a mashup of three songs: “Getaway Car,” “August,” and “The Other Side of the Door.” Fans couldn’t help but raise their eyebrows because all three songs were about cheating.

“Getaway Car” was from the perspective of the cheater, “August” from the perspective of the other woman, and “The Other Side of the Door” from the perspective of the woman who was cheated on.

The speculation grew even stronger a week later when she performed a mashup of two surprise songs, “You’re Not Sorry” and “Should’ve Said No,”.

Since “Should’ve Said No” is about breaking up with an unfaithful partner, fans quickly connected it to the previous rumors.

Analyzing ‘Bejeweled’

“Bejeweled” by Taylor Swift is all about knowing your worth, being your own boss, and taking back control after being underappreciated in a relationship.

The song doesn’t spill the tea on cheating, but it paints a picture of the singer feeling unappreciated and deciding to show off her sparkle and strength.

‘Fortnight’ analysis

Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s collab song lyrics go deep into infidelity, emotional chaos, and regret.

It’s all about a short but intense love story, with lines like “I love you, it’s ruining my life” and “I touched you for only a fortnight.”

Mixing everyday interactions with intense feelings shows how past relationships can leave a mark.

Cheating is front and center with lines like “My husband is cheating, I wanna kill him,” bringing out the raw emotions and betrayal.

The song paints a vivid picture of love’s power to lift you up and tear you down, giving a chilling look at the aftermath of cheating and unfulfilled desires.

Did Joe Alwyn cheat on Taylor Swift?

There were rumors that Joe had allegedly cheated on Taylor with his co-star Alison Oliver.

Then the news of when TTPD was going to be released was made public, let’s just say I don’t believe Swifties or anyone was reading too much into the details.

A photo of Oliver and Alwyn was discovered on Oliver’s Instagram, posted on April 19, 2022 — the exact same day TTPD was released two years later.

But when the album came out every single song seemed to be about another man, Matty Healy to be more precise.

So… who is going to apologize to Joe Alwyn?

So… who’s gonna be the first to say sorry to Joe and start the whole apology tour?

I mean, if all this stuff about TTPD is legit and it turns out she’s been crushing on Matty while still with Joe, then when are those die-hard Swifties gonna step up and apologize for all the nasty stuff they’ve been saying to Joe?

Seriously, they’ve been spewing hate, making threats, and sending mean messages.

Each and everyone can have their own opinions but based on what we get served it does not mean we have the right to spread hate and make threats.

At the end of the day, there will always be three stories, her side, his side, and one part that always gets left out!!
