Meryl Streep and her husband, Don Gummer, have decided to go their separate ways after being together for 45 years, HeTexted.com reports.
Just like Will and Jada Smith, this duo has been living separate lives for more than six years.
She was seen wearing her wedding band on multiple occasions including the most recent one at the Princesa de Asturias Awards 2023.
While the news of going separate ways for The Smiths was made known by Jada Pinkett herself, Meryl did not speak on this matter. Her reps were the ones who broke the news to the rest of the world.
“Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been separated for more than 6 years and while they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart.”
This couple has not been seen in public since the 2018 Academy Awards, that was the last time they attended a Red Carpet together. So does it mean that after the show they decided to call it quits?

Just one month after their anniversary the news came unexpectedly. Streep used to talk very rarely about her husband who is a sculptor.
But when she did, she made sure to tell him through words how much of a wonderful husband he is.
It is quiet tempting to know what is going on with celebrities, but sometimes even the gossip world can not prepare us for the shocking news that sometimes hit the front pages.

However, life seemed to have other plans. A year into their romance and John got lung cancer. He still continued to work and so did Marly to support the medical treatment.
Eventually the cancer started to slowly spread into Cazale’s bones and he died on March 13 1978.
Her career started to thrive, she moved out of the apartment they used to live together and this is how Gummer comes into the picture.
He offered his apartament to Streep. Don was a friend of Merly’s brother and after six months of dating they fell in love and decided to commit to one another.
Although they kept their relationship mostly private, Gummer did accompany Streep to some red-carpet events.
The couple has a brood of four kids: Henry Wolfe, 43, who is a singer-songwriter, and three actresses – Mamie Gummer, 40, Grace Gummer, 37, and Louisa Jacobson, 30.
