Just binged the first season and damn, it was well done. The cast’s diversity and character development were on point.
Finally, a show where the supporting characters aren’t cardboard cutouts! I loved how they seamlessly integrated Devi’s Indian heritage into the plot without it feeling forced, HeTexted.com reports.
I’m totally obsessed with that teen show, but seriously, what’s up with the storyline? I mean, come on! Let me drop some truth bombs and spill some tea.
My opinion is that Devi should have totally ended up with Paxton. Like, they would have been the ultimate power couple. Trust me, I’ve got impeccable taste in shipping.
Devi and Ben may have ended up together, but let’s be real, there’s always room for a steamy final moment between her and Paxton.
Seriously, who wouldn’t be Team Paxton all the way? Let’s face it, unless there’s a spin-off where Paxton and Devi get together, it’s just wishful thinking. But hey, a girl can dream, right?

All jokes aside, that series was fire! I’m totally invested in the whole Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Darren Barnet, and Jaren Lewison love triangle situation. They had some serious chemistry on screen, but what’s the deal off-screen?
I enjoy pairing people up, whether it’s romantically or just as friends!

Devi’s crush in the show is Paxton, played by Darren Barnet. But hold up, in real life, there’s a whopping 11-year age difference between them!
Ramakrishnan is rocking her 20s while Barnet is living it up at 31 – and when they started filming season one in 2019, they would’ve been 17 and 28. Talk about a big age gap!
I get it, you’re all stressing about the age difference at the start of the season. But chill out, Maitreyi is a full-blown adult now.
Plus, during the years 2019-2021, Darren broke up with Ali Rose whom he dated for a year, and then started dating Mikaela Hoover and ended their short-lived romance in 2021.

These two have a very amazing chemistry between them two and the reason why I shipped them was because of how many lovey-dovey scenes we got to see between the two on screen.
Both Darren and Maitreyi have opened up about those scenes and how fun it was for them to film since they did not take much seriously and were clowns most of the time.
And have you seen the video logs of the two men, there is chemistry, drama, and definitely friendship!!
The two have that kind of friendship where they make fun of their middle names and know one another birthdays, likes, dislikes, and inside jokes.
I’ve also done some serious stalking on their social media account and let me tell you, all of their posts are just overflowing with friendship vibes.
It’s like they’re the ultimate BFFs who can’t stop gushing about how much they adore each other.

The two also have other snaps up in their pages from playing different roles with different people pointing out that just because you starred together in a movie does not mean necessarily that you are dating them.
One fun fact would be that during an interview Devi was asked ‘Who would you see yourself dating in real life’ and her answer was Paxton, so even if it happens I am prepared for it!!

They’ve got that sibling energy in real life, you know? It’s like those classic moments between brothers and sisters when one barges into the room, swings the door wide open, glances at the other, and then just saunters off without a care in the world. Ah, the joys of sibling dynamics!
Have you all seen that one interview where Ben questions Devis about how much rizz she got and she replies more than him, that was epic.
There is also another interview where they compliment one another but they do not dare to laugh and they go ‘You laughed, you laughed.’ There’s another sibling moment.

The energy Matirey and Jaren share in general is something of close friends and truth to be told I feel like Devi and Paxton are closer with one another in real life than Devi and Ben.
The reason, well I have not seen many exchanges between the two, like no Instagram pictures like with Maitreyi and Darren, no interview with just the two or vlogs.
