Shanna Moakler claims that her ex-husband Travis Barker’s relationship with Kourtney Kardashian created a divide within their family due to the allure and attention surrounding it.
In a recent episode of the “Dumb Blonde” podcast with Bunnie XO, Shanna expressed how Travis always strived to be an exceptional father, even during their time apart, HeTexted.com reports.
This situation led to some form of parental alienation when Travis and Kourtney got together. The preview of this conversation was shared on TikTok on January 8th.

Moakler spilled the beans about her family situation, revealing that she has two kids with Travis – Landon, who’s now 20, and Alabama, who’s 18.
On top of that, she also has a 24-year-old daughter named Aitana from a previous relationship with Oscar De La Hoya. Travis has actually played a part in raising Aitana too.
Moakler didn’t hold back her feelings about the Kardashians, calling them “disgusting” and explaining that she distanced herself from them to protect her kids from bonding over their shared dislike for her.

She went on to say, “You go do whatever you need to do, and when you’re ready, I’ll be right here for you with unconditional love. I’ll always be your mom, and I’ll wait for you. That’s what I’ve done.”
Moakler also talked about the relationship between Travis and Kourtney, mentioning that there was some parental alienation going on.
Even when they weren’t together, Travis always wanted to be seen as the “super dad” and the best parent.
She acknowledged his success and wealth, saying, “Dude, you win. You’re the champ here. You’ve got all the money and everything.”
When it came to her own kids’ fascination with the Kardashians, Moakler believed that they were drawn to the glitz and glamour they saw on TV.
She felt like they got caught up in the excitement, just like any other young kids would.
She mentioned how the Kardashians were showering her kids with expensive gifts like Prada and taking them to fancy events where they’d meet celebs like Kanye West.
Moakler admitted that she couldn’t provide the same extravagant lifestyle for her children. She didn’t have the financial means to regularly buy them luxury items or give them over-the-top experiences.

While the kids look like they have a good relationship with their stepmother, their mother on the other hand does not approve of them bonding with Kourtney.

Moakler, who has a 22-year-old stepdaughter named Atiana, an 18-year-old son named Landon, and a 16-year-old daughter named Alabama, emphasized that her children are her top priority.
She mentioned that she and Travis agree on this, even though it may be the only thing they agree on.
As long as the Kardashians treat her kids well and they are happy, that’s all that matters to her as a mother.
Moakler had also clarified that she is not “obsessed” with Barker’s new relationship with Kourtney Kardashian.
