K-pop idol HyunA has found love again after her six-year relationship with DAWN.
HyunA and former BEAST and Highlight member Yong Junhyung caused quite a stir online with dating rumors after they both shared a photo of themselves on their individual Instagram accounts, HeTexted.com reports.
Their lovey-dovey Instagram post had everyone swooning! The adorable couple was strolling hand in hand along the beach, and it’s pretty clear that this isn’t just some staged collaboration, despite what the caption might imply.
With a sweet little emoji of a couple holding hands with a heart in between ‘????❤️????’, it’s pretty obvious that these two are the real deal!
Even their agencies chimed in, releasing statements that they respect their idols’ personal lives and have no say in their dating choices. They’re free to date and be happy!
However, not everyone is thrilled about the news of this new couple in the K-pop world.
One of the main reasons is ‘The Burning Sun Scandal.’
What is the Burning Sun Scandal
The Burning Sun Scandal caused a huge uproar in the K-pop world, as many idols were involved in a scandalous secret sex chatroom.
Seungri (BIGBANG), Jung Joon Young, Jonghyun (CNBLUE), Junhyung (Highlight), and Jonghun (F.T. Island) were all implicated in this shocking revelation.
However, these idols were not only involved in the sex chat room but there were allegations of sexual assault, prostitution, drug distribution, hidden camera footage, tax evasion, and police corruption.
On January 28, 2019, MBC Newsdesk reported an alleged assault at the Burning Sun nightclub in Gangnam.
The investigation uncovered more serious allegations including prostitution, drug trafficking, and police corruption.
Seungri, a member of Big Bang and one of the club’s directors, resigned on March 11, 2019, after being charged with sexual bribery.
Jung Joon-young confessed to secretly filming himself having sex with women and sharing the videos without their consent in the Jung Joon-young KakaoTalk chatrooms and resigned on March 12, 2019.
SBS funE discovered videos and chat conversations involving Jung, Seungri, and their acquaintances on KakaoTalk, leading to the exposure of more celebrities involved in the scandal.
Yong Jun-hyung of Highlight and Choi Jong-hoon of F.T. Island resigned on March 14, and Lee Jong-hyun of CNBLUE’s agency admitted his involvement on March 15.
Was JunHyung found guilty?
Yong Junhyung never faced a trial for his actions, so being ‘found guilty’ wouldn’t really matter in this case.
He was questioned as a witness and openly shared all the details about his involvement.
The idol left his group HIGHLIGHT (BEAST) so as not to hurt his members and fans. He also released a statement along the way explaining his involvement with the scandal.

In the statement, Jung Hyungjun admitted to participating in inappropriate conversations about illegally shared videos and failing to stop his friend Jung Joon Young from such acts.

He mentioned that he did not directly receive or share any videos, but he acknowledged his involvement in improper conversations and his failure to take a stand against the situation.
How fans feel about HyunA and JunHyung being in a relationship
The news has received a lot of negative feedback, feedback, not because they are in a relationship, but due to Yong Jun Hyung’s past.
HyunA’s fans have expressed their disappointment, leading to the closure of many of her popular fan accounts, both in Korea and abroad.
Even some of her industry have chosen to distance themselves from her on social media, particularly on Instagram where she made her relationship public.

In the span of four days, the female idol singer has lost about 200K while the male idol on the other hand has won about 100K of new followers.

This is not the first time HyunA and JunHyung have been associated together, they were label mates as they both were part of CUBE Entertainment.
They have collaborated on a song together called ‘Change’ back in 2010.
