Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Scott Anderson have been each other’s backbone for the past three years.
Blanchard got out of jail on parole just a month ago, after spending seven years behind bars for her involvement in her mother’s murder, HeTexted.com reports.
Now that she is free, the couple Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Scott Anderson are revisiting their love story even though they decided to keep the past where it is.
Before Gypsy’s release from prison, she and Ryan shared their tale with the world, discussing how they crossed paths, fell in love, and got married while she was serving time for her involvement in her mother, Dee Dee’s, tragic demise.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Scott Anderson’s Relationship Timeline
While Gypsy was serving her time in prison, her connection with Anderson, who is 37 years old, remained completely long distance.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t rely on the intimacy of Skype, Zoom calls, or even text messages. So how did they make it work?!
Anderson, a special education teacher from Louisiana, first connected with Gypsy after watching the 2017 HBO documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest.
Intrigued by her story, Anderson took a leap of faith and sent Gypsy a letter in 2020. From that moment on, their bond blossomed.
Despite the restrictions on their communication and the lack of knowing each other Gypsy and Ryan connected so they decided to tie the knot in 2022 after two years of being in contact with one another.
They maintained a connection reminiscent of the past, relying on the timeless art of letter writing.
The couple crossed paths during the height of the pandemic when things were incredibly tough for Gypsy as she shared that she experienced a rollercoaster of emotions due to COVID.
But what made Rayan reach out to Gypsy? It all started because of Tiger King’s show, which was all the rage, the popular Netflix show about Joe Exotic.
One of Anderson’s coworkers mentioned wanting to write about Tiger King, and he joked about writing for Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Little did he know that she would eventually become his wife.
In the first letter, Anderson poured his heart out, sharing everything about himself and expressing what Gypsy’s story meant to him.
When asked why she chose to respond, Gypsy playfully attributes it to Anderson being from Louisiana, her original home state.
However, their connection quickly grew much deeper than that. Gypsy describes Rayan as the most compassionate and patient person she has ever met, supporting her through both the good and the tough times.

Anderson was smitten from the start, feeling butterflies whenever they exchanged emails, but it was hearing Gypsy’s voice for the first time that truly sealed the deal.
Despite Gypsy’s dad and stepmom wanting her to wait until after her release to get married, the couple tied the knot in a small prison ceremony on July 21, 2022.
Blanchard was given a 10-year sentence and completed 85% before being released on December 28, 2023.
Meanwhile, her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, is still behind bars serving a life sentence.
Gypsy agreed to a plea deal with the prosecutors, which considered the abuse she endured from Dee Dee, who was suspected of having Munchausen Disorder by Proxy or Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another.
Lifetime’s captivating new docu-series, The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, will unveil the intriguing bond between Gypsy and Anderson before her release. Make sure to mark your calendars for the premiere on Jan. 5!
While we wait for the documentary to be out, the couple enjoys their time together, from going on real dates to spending time with family and even planning to have kids.
Gypsy and Ryan Are Not Fazed By The Trolling Online
Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who is now enjoying her life after prison, recently defended her husband from negative comments on Instagram.
In a comment on one of Anderson’s posts, she reassured him by saying, “Don’t pay attention to the haters. We don’t owe anyone anything.” She even cheekily mentioned their intimate life.
“I love you, and you love me. We do not owe anyone anything. Our family is who matters. If you get likes and good comments great, if you get hate then whatever because THEY DON’T MATTER. I love you???? besides they jealous because you are rocking my world every night…yeah, I said it, the D is fire???? Happy wife happy life ❤️.” she wrote.
That’s not the only trolling these two are facing. People claim that individuals are drawn to partners who resemble them in some way.
And now, social media users are convinced that this holds true for Gypsy Rose Blanchard, as they have noticed some striking resemblances between her husband and her deceased mother.
However, Blanchard has not commented regarding these statements!
As for now living with Anderson will be a completely new experience for Gypsy, as she has never lived with a man before and the two are already planning on having kids!!!
