Every two years, they go all out for the gold in their sport, whether it’s gymnastics and swimming in the summer or figure skating and snowboarding in the winter. 

It’s all about showing off their mad skills and strength for their country.

And since The Olympics 2024 are just hours away here are some Olympic couples whose love stories have touched us as much as their athletic feats have impressed us.

Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall

Olympic track stars Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall met at a high school track meet in Idaho in 2017 and fell in love. 

They got married in 2022 and will both compete for Team USA at the Paris Games. Tara will be in the long jump and Hunter will be in his third Paralympics.

Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield

Junelle Bromfield and Noah Lyles have been major influences on each other’s athletic journeys. They met online in 2017 and went from friends to lovers. 

Bromfield faced tough times after losing her mom to cancer, but Lyles was there to push her to start therapy and reignite her passion for running. 

Both Bromfield and Lyles competed in the 2020 Olympics and are gearing up for this year’s event in Paris. Lyles is the one to watch, expected to dominate in all his races. 

Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe 

Sue and Megan are about to come full circle at the Paris Olympics. 

The soccer and basketball power couple first met at the 2016 Rio Olympics, started dating, got engaged in 2020, and competed together in Tokyo in 2021. 

Now, they’re gearing up to do it all over again in Paris this year.

Laura and Jason Kenny (Cycling)

Laura and Jason Kenny are like the ultimate power couple of cycling in the UK. 

They totally bonded over their love for the sport, and as they trained and competed together, their love story just got stronger. 

They tied the knot in 2016, right after they both snagged gold medals at the Rio Olympics. 

Fast forward to now, they’re proud parents to their son, Albert, and they’re still killing it on and off the track, showing everyone what true dedication looks like.

Misty May-Treanor and Matt Treanor (Beach Volleyball and Baseball)

Misty and Matt first met thanks to a mutual friend hooking them up. 

Misty, a three-time Olympic gold medalist in beach volleyball, and Matt, a pro baseball player, juggled their busy sports lives while having each other’s backs. 

They tied the knot in 2004, and even with crazy schedules, their love is still going strong.

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf’s love story started at a charity event in ’99.

Despite Sam’s tragic training accident just nine months after getting engaged, leaving him quadriplegic, he walked down the aisle in braces on their wedding day. 

Now, Sam coaches Alise as she aims for gold in the Paris Olympics.

Alex De Minaur and Katie Boulter’s love story kicked off in 2020 with a random coffee meet-up. while they were both staying at the same hotel. 

This unexpected encounter turned into a secret romance that didn’t interfere with their tennis careers. 

Now, they’re both gearing up for their Olympic debut in Paris representing Great Britain and Australia.
