Brooke Schofiel really got people opening up about their exes, but when Chris Olsen released his mini-series ‘How My Boyfriend Tried To Murder Me’, I was shook.
He kicked off the videos by making it clear that the relationship he was going to talk about went down over ten years ago, mentioning that he hasn’t seen his ex in “forever.”
Chris, who’s now famous as Meghan Trainor’s BFF, shared that he crossed paths with his ex when he was only 15, theygossip.com reports.
He continued to describe how the guy he was talking about, who he called Alex to protect his privacy, was someone who was ‘there for him’ since Chris was going through some hard times.

A Full Breakdown of ‘How My Boyfriend Tried to Murder Me’
Part 1
It’s been around 10 to 12 years since that incident, and Olsen is still haunted by the memory of his ex reaching out to him. Now that he’s a well-known internet personality, living a highly publicized life, the fear lingers.
Back in January 2013, Olsen made the move to a school in Massachusetts. Before that, he attended an all-boys school where he was the only gay student.
Being constantly ridiculed, with his mom in rehab, and just a 14-year-old, Olsen was far from happy. His home turned into a toxic environment until he finally transferred to an arts boarding school in Massachusetts in January.
Surrounded by a very queer community, Olsen finally felt like he belonged. It was there that he met two girlfriends who became his closest friends, one of whom was dating ‘Alex,’ the main character in this story.
Part 2
Chris is using fake names in the story in order for others not to search or dig up the past.
Ashly and Elizabeth are the names of Olsen’s new friends, and Elizbeth is the one who is dating Alex, he was older than them.
Then Chris did not know much about the guy except for the fact that Ashley did not like Alex due to the way he was treating Elizabeth.
Their relationship was a bit toxic but Elizabeth was also happy in it.
However, Chris and Alex were living in the same dorm after Olsen was caught sleeping in an older guy’s room.
The school had caught Chris in the other guy’s room and he was put on a disciplinary hearing and guess what, Alex was part of it too.
Alex had power in that school and he befriended Chris and took him under his wing.
Part 3
Chris and Alex grew closer when Alex was feeling vulnerable. It was a new experience for Chris, and he felt a sense of closeness that he had never felt with his dad.
Having Alex’s support made Chris feel safe. Chris always craved male approval, so when Alex started giving him that, it meant a lot to him.
After Alex and Elizabeth broke up, Chris and Alex spent even more time together.
When Alex asked Chris if he was a virgin, Chris admitted that he was, and Alex promised that he wouldn’t be by the end of the summer.
Chris agreed, and ever since then, he tried to fulfill all of Alex’s expectations.
Parts 4 and 5
In 2013, during the summer, Chris returned home to live with his dad. During this time, he developed a dependence on alcohol and drugs, engaged in shoplifting, and even had suicidal thoughts.
He also sought to lose his virginity and met someone through an app, but was manipulated into the situation while under the influence.
When he returned to school, his first conversation with Alex was about his virginity, and their relationship changed after that.
Although they were just friends, Alex held more power in the relationship than Chris. Then, a new guy named Tony entered the picture and became Chris’s best friend.
Chris got involved in a situationship with someone but didn’t tell Olsen about it. Tony was also in a situationship with Alex, which made Chris feel uncomfortable.
It was then that Chris realized Alex was making others keep secrets for him, which is a characteristic of abusers.
Parts 6,7 and 8
Chris and Tony had a little something going on, just casually seeing each other without any official title. Alex wasn’t happy about it.
So, Alex decided to make a move on Chris. He even confessed to Olsen that he was into him while Chirs was still dating Tony.
Then it happened – Alex and Chris got together, and he ended up making Olsen feel guilty about it. He called Chris a terrible friend for hooking up with the same guy who had dated Tony and Elizabeth.
Then the story starts to take a very bad turn!! Alex would always make Chris feel bad and bring up his exes.
Alex would punish Olsen for all the little things especially whenever Chris spoke to other guys.
That is when Alex tells Chris that he is no longer allowed to be friends with Tony anymore and if he spots them together something very bad is going to happen.
Parts 9, 10 and 11
Olsen lived in constant fear of Alex, always worried about what he might do. When Chris chose to prioritize his friendship with Tony over Alex, things took a turn for the worse.
Chris defying Alex’s authority led to a confrontation. Alex caught Chris and Tony together!
From that moment on, Alex began emotionally tormenting Chris, belittling him and making him feel worthless.
Despite Chris’s pleas for forgiveness, Alex cruelly expressed his wish that Chris would end his own life.
The situation escalated the following day, with Alex continuing his emotional abuse without relenting.
Alex vowed to make Chris’s life a living nightmare, spreading lies, bullying him, and inciting hatred against him.
Alex would always tell Chris to go and kill himself.
Parts 12, 13 and 14
Months after making his life a living hell Alex decided to get back with Chris and he took him back!!
Alex started being nice to Olsen again! And then the no more friendship with Tony was back and Chris was not backing down from that friendship.
Then during summer Tony and Chris had gone to DC for a trip and when Alex discovered it the abuse was back on.
Alex involved Chris’s family in this too trying to paint Olsen as the worst person ever.
Olsen did not care anymore he had no more power over him just because he was states away from one another.
Then Tony and Chris hooked up but the good part was that Olsen and Alex had broken up.
Parts 15, 16 and 17
Alex had always cheated on Chris during their relationship!!
That is when Chris walked away from the relationship after years of putting up with all of the things he had done to him, cheating was the final straw.
Alex would then again even though they had not broken up tell Chris to go kill himself because he does not deserve this life.
Olsen was exhausted from all of this and did not know what to do anymore, that’s when he decided to just not care anymore.
That was the first time Chris had opened up to his friends about his abusive relationship.
Parts 18 and 19
This is the moment everything takes a turn for the worse. Alex gives Chris a call, revealing his sinister plan to kill him and arranging to meet on the weekend.
During that week, Chris was consumed by fear, constantly worried for his safety.
Despite the uncertainty of whether Alex would actually show up, Chris couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched twice, leading him to believe Alex had a change of heart about the murder plot.
Years passed with no communication until Alex attempted to reconnect with Chris, but their reunion was unsuccessful.
Fast forward to today, Alex is now married while Chris has become a popular internet personality with a large following and incredible content.
