Guess who is back? ENHYPEN, with a new song that I can’t get out of my head. They really have XOed their way through everyone’s hearts.
Their new song XO(Only If You Say Yes) made its debut a few days ago and it’s all over TikTok, it has taken over!!
As I vibe to their music and check out their vibe on stage, I can’t help but wonder what’s really happening backstage.
I’ve been a loyal ENGENE since day one, but I can’t help but wonder – are they truly close friends, or is it all for the cameras?
I’m curious about their real bond off-camera. Do they just work together in the music industry, or have they built real friendships behind the scenes? Hmm!

Man, all the members are so tight-knit that choosing the “closest” one is lowkey hard for me haha but based on what I’ve seen…
Enhypen seems to have a super positive and tight relationship with each other. In interviews and behind-the-scenes stuff, they show love and support for one another and talk about how strong their bond is, theygossip.com reports.
They always call themselves a “close-knit” squad and stress how important their group vibes are.
Even though they might have some disagreements here and there, the group handles them like pros and keeps that chill and harmonious group vibe going strong.
The Group Dynamics
In I-land, they saw each other as rivals. They had to compete against each other to make their debut.
Trainees usually don’t get along super well because they’re all fighting to debut. That’s why a bunch of rookie groups start off with the members being awkward, but that eventually goes away.
Now it is different, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki have this chemistry that is there to stay!!
ENHYPEN has seven members
Jaywon, Heejay, Heejake, Jakeki, Jayki, Heeki, Jakewon, Heewon, Jakehoon are pairs that hang out together on their days off.
Sunoo’s besties in Enhypen are Jay and Jungwon. Jungwon is super close to everyone and they even watch dramas together.
Jay and Sunoo are classmates at Hanlim and Jay really gets him, like when they tried mint chocolate. Sunoo is always hugging Jay the most and calls him his favorite hyung.
Heeseung is tight with Jay (8 years of friendship) or Sunghoon/Jake. Jungwon is close to everyone, but he clearly adores Jay the most of how much he talks about him.
Jay is loved by all the members and brings good vibes to the group. He’s especially close to Jungwon and Sunoo.
Jake is close to Sunghoon (they want to open a coffee shop together) and Ni-ki (they have a cute brotherly bond). Sunghoon is close to Heeseung, Jake, and maybe Jungwon/Jay too.
Ni-ki is currently close to Jake but used to be close to Jay and Heeseung.
Heeseung and Jungwon have always been super tight! They do stuff together like watching movies and taking tons of selfies, and even though Heeseung used to find making TikToks a bit hard, all of his TikToks this year are with Jungwon.
The Members of Enhypen
Hee was the only one who went to Jungwon’s graduation. As the leader and the oldest, they often talk about how they only have each other to rely on in certain situations. I don’t get why people miss their bond when it’s so special!
They all have a tight bond, but each member has a unique connection with the others. For example, Jake and Ni-ki are super tight because they’re actual siblings.
But Jake’s relationship with Sunghoon is totally different, yet they’re still besties for life. In I-Land, Heeseung and Jungwon were really close, and they still are, but now Jaywon’s bond is more visible.
Favorite ENHYPEN Friendship Moments
- Ni-ki’s post-concert lives by himself, expressing his love and respect for his hyungs and emphasizing how Enhypen wouldn’t be the same without any of its members.
- All of Jungwon’s phone conversations on V-live with the members when they were in quarantine
- All the times that Sunoo has cried and Jungwon would be the first to comfort him
- All those times when they’d wake up early so they could coordinate their outfits!
- Jay was thrilled when Sunghoon excelled in the dance unit on I-Land after Jay had to leave. Sunghoon’s success brought Jay joy and pride.
ENHYPEN
- Sunghoon initially struggled to connect with others when he began training, but Jay was the one who reached out to him first, leading to a strong friendship between them.
- Sunghoon expressed his gratitude towards Jay for always cooking for them, even when tired, and for not getting upset when they tease him, despite Sunghoon not always showing it.
- Jake and all the members were clingy and hyping up Jay during the Kyocera Dome cons when he possibly had a hard time.
- Them being huddled together like penguins covering each other with the blankets on the debut shooting sets.
