Hall and Oates started off as buddies, then became roomies, and eventually joined forces as bandmates.

Daryl Hall & John Oates, the groovy pop duo from the ’70s, are currently dealing with a totally unexpected bump in their forever friendship after lawsuits were involved, HeTexted.com reports.
It is a top legal dispute, resulting in Daryl Hall obtaining a restraining order against his former music partner, John Oates.
But there’s also a misconception that a restraining order always refers to the type people commonly talk about.
It’s not always a protective order. It’s actually a form of injunctive relief, like preventing Oates from profiting off their music without including Hall.
Hall and oats were always close to each other, what happened?
Unfortunately, there isn’t much information available to the public about the case since the court documents are sealed.
Hall filed a complaint against Oates on November 16 and also requested a temporary restraining order.
The court granted the temporary restraining order, which will take effect on November 30.
The Nashville Chancery Court for confirmation, and while they acknowledged the lawsuit’s existence, they couldn’t provide any further details due to its sealed status.
Birds are whispering that the lawsuit is happening due to some contract breach by nothing more has been made.
From Hall and Oates to Fall and Outs
Three years ago, this dynamic duo made it clear that they never had any disagreements, highlighting their strong friendship before a performance at Madison Square Garden.
And what is interesting is that Hall was the one to make such a statement. Shocker right!!!
Despite being childhood friends, they have never had a serious argument, not even during their teenage years.

They have always known how to deal with each other, which is why their friendship has lasted so long until this year.
As everyone knows groups usually have their own contracts and this duo has gone their separate ways when it comes to performing.
Hall and Oates have been pursuing their individual paths, intermittently, for many years. Occasionally, they come together again, but mostly they perform separately.
So the real deal could be that someone in the group wants the songs for themselves even though it is known that the songs were written by both singers.
A couple of years ago Hall said in this podcast after being asked if he is still friends with Oates something along the lines of;
“We are a couple that wants to get divorced but we have too many kids, the kids are the songs”

Hall and Oates found refuge backstage, concealed behind a curtain and that is when they first met, after that, they would run into each other as they both attended the same university.
Their relationship started from there and it went on for years. This duo never publicly announced their split as a group.
