It looks like some new drama is brewing, and it’s sure to catch everyone’s attention. TikTok may soon be filled with more content, and this time, it’s centered around none other than ‘The Hype House.’
Yep, the same influencer mansion that had everyone obsessed—until the relationships started crumbling as soon as people left, theygossip.com reports
Back when I was hooked on YouTube, ‘The Hype House’ was one of the influencer houses I followed religiously.
Their vlogs had me in my feels—so much love for the content they dropped.
I know, I know, ‘The Hype House’ is a TikTok thing, but I was late to the TikTok game and got all my content from YouTube, no shame in that!
That’s when I first got hooked on Alex Warren, the insanely talented musician, and his now-wife Kouvr. Day-one fan, right here!
Recently, Alex has been teasing new music on TikTok, and one song has really caught people’s attention. Why? Because it seems to be about the very house we mentioned—‘The Hype House.’
The Old Hype House Members
After staying quiet for years, Alex Warren is finally addressing the infamous Hype House, where he once lived with other creators. (The NDAs have expired—we’ve all been waiting for this moment!)
In a TikTok teaser for his unreleased song, he’s hinting at some serious tension, and it’s clear that this song isn’t a fond reflection of his time there.
Here’s what we know so far about the drama and the relationships that were left in pieces precisely Alex Warren and Thomas Petoru!
Alex Warren and Thomas Petoru Relationship
In a no-holds-barred appearance on “The Viall Files” podcast in April 2024, Alex dropped some serious tea: he’s no longer on “speaking terms” with Hype House co-founder and manager, Thomas Petrou.
Alex gave host Nick Viall a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes grind at Hype House, saying, “We would make jokes like, ‘If you can’t make TikToks, you can’t eat,’ because of how hard Thomas was on everyone about posting.” Ouch.
When Nick pressed Alex on who Thomas was, he said, “He’s the guy who will take credit for creating Hype House.” Savage.
But it doesn’t end there. Alex also admitted, “I am not on speaking terms with him.” He continued to spill the details, adding, “That being said, he was just someone who wanted to be a part of something very badly and found himself very luckily in the hands of Hype House.”
Alex Warren and Thomas Petoru
A year before this Warren while on the Zach Sang Show podcast revealed that Thomas Petrou, the co-founder, was the only one raking in any cash, leaving the other members with nothing to show for their efforts.
When asked if he personally made money from the Hype House, Alex’s response was blunt: “No, never. No one made money from Hype House, except from Thomas.”
What Alex Warren’s Song Says About ‘The Hype House’
Only a small snipe of the song has been revealed, but the lyrics are more than enough proof to know who the song is about.
Oh and the video gives it up too because of the caption, “GUYS FRIENDSHIPS ARE RELATIONSHIPS HAHA”
In the unreleased track, he sings, “You knew the house was burning down, I had to get out.” Not exactly subtle, right?
Then, he gets even more intense with, “You led your saints and sinners and fed them lies for dinner,” which many fans think is aimed at some of the other former Hype House members.
And it doesn’t stop there. He calls out, “Used to tell me you’d pray for me, you were praying for my downfall.” Fans are convinced the “you” in question is none other than Hype House creator Thomas Petrou.
Why They Left The Hype House?
According to a video posted on Alex’s YouTube channel, they explained their decision to leave the house.
Apparently, Alex left the house because he and some of his friends, including Kouvr, Calvin, Patrick, and Pepper, wanted to live together separately.
He clarified then that there was no bad blood between him and Thomas Petrou, the creator of the Hype House, and they remain close.
Alex emphasizes that it’s normal for people in their 20s to live in different places, even if they’re best friends.
He reassures fans that although they no longer live in the Hype House, they’re still part of the collective and have simply moved into a new chapter of their lives.
Years later, their relationship soured, and it seems there’s some serious bad blood between them now.
With Alex’s new song on the horizon, it feels like we’re finally about to get the full scoop on what really went down behind the scenes.
